It's recommended to book your desired date in advance, as reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

A special event permit and a certificate of insurance may be required for public tournaments or large events.

Park Shelter Reservations: (There is no electric available at the Mattson Park Shelter)

  • Rental Fees for Park Shelters are as follows:
    • Isanti Residents: No charge
    • Non-residents or Businesses: $10
    • Nonprofit Organizations: $5
  • Park shelters are generally available for reservation from April 1st through September 30th.
  • Reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You can reserve a shelter through the City of Isanti's online system. Look for "Park Rental" under the "Type" filter when searching for dates. Rentals must be made at lease 7 days in advance.

  • Tennis Courts: 
    • Tennis courts at Mattson Park can also be reserved according to the following fee schedule: 
      • Resident (individual).
        • One court: no charge.
        • Two courts: $6/hour.
      • Nonresident (individual).
        • One court: $6/hour.
        • Two courts: $12/hour.
      • Group, league, business, industry: $15/hour.
      • Nonprofit.
        • One court: $3/hour.
        • Two courts: $6/hour.
      • Per season single court only - rates determined on a case-by-case basis by the Parks and Recreation Board and City Council.
    • Online reservations are accepted through the City of Isanti's online system. Look for "Park Rental" under the "Type" filter when searching for dates. Rentals must be made at lease 7 days in advance. 
    • Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of one day per week per court and a maximum of three hours per reservation for any entity.
  • Basketball Court: Ideal for: Sports events, team practices, school field trips, or larger group activities needing designated court space. (Click here to review the Park Reservation Policy- Athletic Elements). There is currently no fee to reserve a basketball court. 
  • Field Trips: Planning on taking your school group to Mattson Park for an end of the year picnic or event? Schools love Mattson Park as much as we do and we get field trip requests each year, so reserve your spot early by reserving your space online! There is no charge for field trips, but to help us manage park capacity and ensure a pleasant visit for everyone, field trips and large groups are kindly requested to make reservations.
