Sales & Solicitation Licensing – Isanti
Anyone selling goods or services for profit in Isanti must be licensed. This includes:

  • Peddlers – Immediate sales door-to-door or place-to-place

  • Solicitors – Door-to-door requests for future orders or services

  • Transient Merchants – Temporary sales setups (e.g., tents, trailers, vacant storefronts)

  • Mobile Food Units – Food sales from vehicles or stands

  • Ice Cream Trucks – Ice cream or frozen treat sales from mobile units

Licensed vendors receive a City-issued photo ID or certificate, which must be shown upon request. Licensing does not imply City endorsement.

Non-Profit, Charitable & Religious Groups

Non-profit, charitable, and religious groups do not need a license unless solicitors are paid. Registration is encouraged for public awareness.

Resident Rights

Residents may post “No Soliciting” signs to restrict solicitors and peddlers. Violators may be reported.
