Are you interested in a career in law enforcement? The Isanti Police Department is looking for Police Explorers that would like to join our post and learn more about law enforcement as a potential career.
As an Explorer, you would serve as a member of the Isanti Police Department. In addition, you will attend regularly scheduled meetings and be trained in areas such as:
- Traffic Stops
- Search and Arrest
- Domestic Crisis Intervention
- First Aid
- Crime Prevention
- Crime Scene Search
- Bomb Scene Response
- Burglary Response
Once Explorers have learned the necessary skills, they compete against other programs throughout the state in Rochester, MN. During these academic, competitive and practical events - you can win award plaques, scholarships, and attend new training seminars.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be between the ages of 14-20, or in 9th grade or above
- Remain in good academic standing
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
