There is one seat vacant on the Planning Commission; said term is for a period of three years (from January 2017 to December 2019). The Planning Commission meets the third Tuesday of each month following the 7:00pm City Council Meeting.
There are two seats opening on the Park, Recreation and Culture Board; said terms are for a period of two years (January 2017 to December 2018) and three years (from January 2017 to December 2019). The Park, Recreation & Culture Board meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm.

There is one vacant seat open on the Economic Development Authority Board; said term is for the remainder of a six year term which would begin January 2017 through December 2020. The Economic Development Authority meets the first Tuesday each month at 7:30pm or immediately following the City Council Meeting.

Tree trimming for Connexus Energy will be occurring along Whiskey Rd, Dogwood St, Birch St, 5th Ave and areas South of Downtown as early as October 16th.

Winter Parking Restrictions
Parking of vehicles is not allowed on city streets between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. from November 1st through March 31st of every year. Parking is permitted on streets between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. provided that snow removal has been completed or there is no snow. Parking is not permitted in the City’s downtown municipal parking lot (located south of Main Street W and west of the BNSF railroad tracks) between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Your cooperation will help make the snow removal process more efficient and effective.
